Hahaha great point David! In fairness, I think in many countries people are actually out on the street almost every weekend, especially in the UK, France, Germany etc. Expressions of outrage are a bit disorganized and sporadic, true, but I see them building up everywhere and we know they're having an effect, because many governments have been seeking ways to curtail them. For example, the UK and Canada brought out new laws about "disrupting the public peace", making it easier to arrest protesters. And recently I seen that the mayor of New York is trying to ban wearing masks to intimidate would-be demonstrators from coming out.
The media plays a major role in suppressing news of protests too wherever they can, because they're afraid of contagion.
I really see the next few years as being rife with demonstrations and hopefully a new sort of Occupy movement will spring up too.
A general strike is the ticket though; that's what we really need.
