Honestly, I think your first sentence affirms my point - only it's not a singular phenomenon, but plural.

Just because the places you have been to seem normal on the surface does not even remotely imply that what is happening under the surface psychologically to the public is not highly toxic, abnormal and dangerous.

I'm glad you're having a good time during this pandemic - unfortunately the majority of us are not. And whether you believe it or not, the effects of mass psychosis will be felt universally - coming home to a town near you too!
