Hey Charles, cheers for the comment! Your novel sounds really interesting, I would love to read it! I write a lot of dystopian fiction myself — at least I did, up until the point that I realized we’re already living in a dystopia. The Covid pandemic really opened my eyes to that fact and ever since then I’ve found it difficult and even futile to attempt to imagine a worse situation than the one we’re already in.

I think you’re right about the lengths the elite would go to to save their own asses. I cannot even pretend to believe that they wouldn’t wipe us all off the face of the earth if they thought it would buy them more time. If we continue to allow them to hoard all the wealth at the expense of the humanity and the planet, I can totally imagine a future in which the rest of us become utterly disposable.

This glorification of the elite has definitely become intolerable to me. I honestly don’t get why I should look up to or celebrate people whose self-entitlement and grandiosity threatens the very continuation of our species…..
