Hi Howard, thank you for your comment; you are very much on point.
I don't believe it is a matter of people allowing it to happen - banks creating money through debt - I think it's more that the average citizen simply does not understand that this is how the economy works.
The basic mechanisms of our financial system are kept purposefully shrouded in mystique and rendered overtly convoluted by mainstream economists , typically of the Harvard and Chicago schools of thought.
People are deterred from gaining a good comprehension of fundamental economics from a very young age and then later on in life, when through their own investigative endeavours, they discover the reality of the situation and attempt to sound the alarm, nobody believes them because it just doesn't seem real.
Allowing a small group of elite banksters rule over humankind in such a secretive and blatantly exploitative manner simply doesn't seem plausible to a lot of people, so they just don't buy it, and the cycle of ignorance and enslavement continues.
Debt is most certainly used to perpetuate a regime of indentured servitude, not only of individuals but entire nations.
However, like much else about modern systems of exploitation, the financial paradigm currently in operation is yet another house of cards and I suspect the next crisis might very well be the catalyst for major change and reform. Everyone has had enough and they will finally demand these kleptocrats to be stripped of their power.
