Housing seems to be tricky no matter what to be honest, but I know most people would much rather be in your shoes - as a landlord and homeowner - than to be left to fend for themselves against crooked landlords, the insecurity that comes with being a tenant and 15-20% year on year rent increases.
I guess this might be a case of "the grass is always greener syndrome," but I think it's pretty rare to find a home-owner who would rather be a renter. The entire economy and tax system is set up to support home-owners; renters get the short end of the stick every time and our only real advantage is to be able to get up and move at will that's about it.
Paying mortgages too is usually much cheaper than rent in most countries depending on interest rate, so I think you're a rare case sir!
