I'm sorry to have to point this out, but this war does not pose the same existential threat to Europe as Hitler's invasion of Poland did, but it will if the nuclear option is seriously on the table.

This is not just about the money and you know that; millions of lives are being destroyed day after day because of all this.

I'm playing devil's advocate here, but I don't think many Europeans would agree with that 'victory at all costs' sentiment - we just want peace, and if negotiations make that possible, we're all for it.
