Neoliberal ideology which, since the 2008 financial crisis, has already been debunked as self-serving quackery pushed by the top 1% has led to this devastating situation not only for Americans, but for people the world over.

The elite have no solutions because this was literally their plan from the beginning. They will keep using phony metrics to measure economic health as long as it keeps the wealth flowing upward. Nothing else matters....clearly.
