Oh come on, the cost has been a lot greater than that - look at the energy crisis we suffered through the winter with. Shocks to supply-chains have caused enormous disruptions.

The cost of supporting refugees is also monumental - I know because I've worked with refugees and saw the extent of their needs.

Europeans aren't selfish, we're just tired for suffering because of wars none of us wanted or are even directly involved in.

I definitely don't think we should stop the aid until there has been a treaty signed or something, but I disagree that we can continue funding this war and supporting this war - mentally, emotionally, financially and otherwise.
