Thanks for the comment Jean! Couldn’t have said it better myself! We have missed many of the landmarks of adulthood due to the cost of higher education, the desperately poor nature of the labour market (due to globalization?) and the staggering inflation of housing, as well as other basic necessities of everyday life.
My age group has been set back years and some of us may never make up the shortfall. I believe it is not only us who will bear the costs of this regression, however, but Western society as a whole.
There definitely has to be some serious consequences for human progression when an entire generation has been infantilized and forced to live in perpetual instability.
We truly are a lost generation and the loss of potential for advancement in every social sphere is simply mind-boggling
