Thanks for the comment John. But I disagree with you. I don’t believe I misunderstand this film. All art is subjective and this was my interpretation of it. I wasn’t implying that Welles intentionally set out to make a movie about the gradual erosion of American culture, but with hindsight, that’s what it potentially could be suggesting.

And I hope that you’re wrong about change; it’s the only chance we have left.
