Thanks for the comment Marcia. Sure, there doesn’t have to be that exact dichotomy between Ukraine and Yemen, but the point I was making there is that we in the West are being programmed to think about the same issue of war in two completely different ways due to state of America’s geopolitical relationships. It is thought control.

I’m not sure what your point is about criticizing the economic order. I have been an outspoken critic of neoliberal capitalism for at least the past 10 years, regardless of popularity. Indeed, it is still a highly contentious topic for which I receive I lot of backlash.

Of course Covid is a narrative…every issue we face today is presented in a narrative form, with a beginning, middle and end. Conspiracy theorist, “truther”, whatever derogatory label you slap on it is not going to stop making people question the “truth” that is shoved down our throats by the establishment. I question everything and so should you.

Also, important to note with those examples I mentioned, those were instances when the governments had shifted their narrative several times, ie. denied then confirmed, then ridiculed etc.
