Very well said, thank you. I see no reason to falsely project an image of positivity, or sugarcoat the reality of what life is like in "late-stage capitalism," as many have come to call it. The more we pretend everything is alright, the worse it seems to get and I really believe if more people were honest and direct about how dire their circumstances have become, the more we would recognize our shared oppression in a system built by rich, white men, for rich, white men.
In my view at least, there's no dignity to be lost in expressing disdain for the direction the elite have taken humanity, especially when you realize what could have been...the potential and the paradise lost to us all because of their greed.
I, like probably millions of others, have been gravely disappointed in the hegemonic paradigms of the twenty-first century. Homelessness, poverty and all the problems that plague us and hold us back could easily be resolved, but they are perpetuated to keep this rigged game going.
The societal frustration and angst we see around the world today is like a powder keg; how long before it explodes, destroying everything? Only time will tell.
