Yea absolutely, the MENA region has been the focal point of global tensions over resources for at least 100 years now, if not much much longer.

With the amount of precious metals receding, the entire continent of Africa will be even more vulnerable to invasions, or exploitation.

It's truly a huge crisis that most people pay little or no attention to.
