Yes, I was thinking about this earlier as well! The schools are like indoctrination centres, preparing you for a life of unending corporate servitude. Similar hierarchical structures, enforced uniformity through a strict dress code and they even have almost the same time schedules - most schools are 9-4 Monday to Friday.

To be a good little citizen you're supposed to prostrate yourself before the corporate overlords as early and young as possible and if you fail to do so, you get whacked.....and they keep whacking you into adulthood until you learn to accept your miserable fate and behave.
